Happy Birthday Samantha! #4

What a week we had leading up to Samantha's Birthday! We had a blizzard hit on Tuesday that kept us home for three days, then Samantha caught a virus that lead to a temp. and kept her home on Friday so I guess we had a mini-vacation, too bad we could not go outside, except for the doctor, for any of it! The good news was by Friday afternoon Samantha was feeling better and by her birthday on Saturday she was ready to party!
Over the past 3 years we have started her birthday week we have done a scavenger hunt, this year it became a birthday fairy (Samantha caller her, her Fairy Godmother) so all week Samantha found little trinkets around the house each day for her (simple stuff, headbands, markers, alphabet magnets, pjs and a dress), she thinks it is so fun!
Friday night we finally hit our wall of being indoors and told Samantha we would take her to dinner, she chose Texas Roadhouse! I love a girl who knows at 4 to go for steak for special dinner. She was very excited for them to come sing to her and get on the saddle until it actually happened and then she was not amused. I am sure the server thought we were terrible, but she finally got on the saddle for a minute.
Saturday she woke up to balloons and doughnuts and got to open her presents from us and Grammie & Aaron. From us she got clothes, a great play-doh creative center that included a lap desk and an ice cream play-doh station. Grammie sent her clothes and she got a trampoline for the backyard! Too bad the ground will probably have snow on it forever.
Her birthday party was at the gym where she takes classes and she had 18 FRIENDS there to celebrate, it was a little crazy, but they all had so much fun. After the party Marc's family came to the house for pizza and to hang out for a bit. There were of course more presents to end the day with Samantha's aunts and uncles getting her some great clothes (yeah, we have no more room for toys) and Grandma and Papa gave her some great outfits for her bitty baby and Grandma made Samantha a crib for the baby, it looks like a Moses basket and Grandma sewed the blanket and pillow for her, very special.
So the book tells you it was a great days. When we asked Samantha at the end of the night what was her favorite part she said, all of my friends coming to play with me, gotta love that kid!
Finally a few pictures!
